ABOUT THE EVENT

The South Florida

HBCU Picnic

Unites our HBCU family in support of our institutions.

Alumni use this event to bring together their fellow alums, reignite their alumni association, and enjoy their HBCU family and friends. 

Prospective students connect with current students and alumni to learn more about the institution of their choosing.

If you would like to sponsor or know of a company that would like to be a sponsor or vendor at the picnic, check out the details below. 

 

Sponsorship and Vendor Opportunities

There are various levels of sponsorships. Size and placement of logos on t-shirts and website are based on sponsorship level. We will also work with our sponsors for customized activation if necessary.

 

SPONSORSHIP LEVELS

 

Title Sponsor —$25,000 (one available)

  • Corporate name featured in Public Service Announcements and  advertisements

  • Title sponsor position on official banner

  • Title sponsor position on website with link to corporate website

  • Title sponsor position on all promotional material

  • Title sponsor position on t-shirts handed out during the event

  • Title sponsor position on entrance banner

  • Opportunity to speak at opening of program

  • Special emcee announcements mentioning sponsor name during and after the event

  • Featured placement of one 20x20 tent, 8 tables, and 40 chairs

 

 

Platinum Level Sponsor —$10,000 (two available)

  • Corporate name featured in Public Service Announcements and  advertisements

  • Prominent display of logo on official banner

  • Premier sponsor on website with logo and link

  • Featured sponsor on t-shirts handed out during the event

  • Display of logo on all promotional material

  • Opportunity to speak during program

  • Special emcee announcements mentioning sponsor name during and after the event

Gold Level Sponsor — $5,000

  • Featured display of logo on official banner

Silver Level Sponsor –$2,500

  • Silver level display of logo on official banner

  • Table and two chairs under tent for promotional purposes

Bronze Level Sponsor –$1,000

  • Bronze level display of logo on official banner

Small Business Sponsor –$500

  • Display of logo on official banner

  • Special emcee announcements mentioning sponsor name during event

  • Table and two chairs for promotional purposes

 

HBCU Host Partner - $500

  • 20X20 space under tent with 6 tables and 50 chairs. 

  • Selection of tent location

  • Inclusion on the planning committee  

  • Featured display of logo on official banner

  • Featured speaking opportunity during the event

  • Logo displayed on all promotional material

 

School/Organization Partner- $250

  • 10X20 space under a tent with 3 tables and 25 chairs to be shared with another school. 

  • Display of logo on official banner

  • Logo displayed on all promotional material

  • Opportunity to speak about during the event

 

Vendors - $150

  • Space for a 4-6 ft table and 2 chairs under the sponsor’s tent to showcase your business and products (table and chairs not provided)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 

How much does it cost to attend?

 

  • The event is FREE.

 

Can we bring our own food?

 

  • Food will be provided, but you can also bring your own food and picnic baskets

 

Is alcohol allowed?

 

  • Rolling Oaks Park is located within the City of Miami Gardens. The City prohibits the consumption of alcohol on city property and in city parks.

 

How do I get my school, business, or organization involved?

 

  • HBCUs or HBCU alumni associations who are interested in participating in the picnic must email info@sfhbcupicnic.com . To be listed on day of promotional materials, we need funds no later than May 15, 2019.  

  • If your alumni association is inactive, but you would like to secure space for your alumni, you can participate as well. HBCUs and/or alumni associations or groups should make payments by May 15, 2019, so that their school logo can be included in the final event flyer and tent space could be secured for their group.

  • Sponsors and vendors (businesses or organizations) who are interested in sponsoring the event or having space at the picnic should click here for additional information and then email info@sfhbcupicnic.com.  In order to be included on the final event flyer, sponsors should make payments by May 15, 2019. Vendors should make payments by June 15th, 2019 to secure space at the event.

Is this a family friendly event?

  • Yes, bring the kids and the family! We will have music, games, and plenty of fun things to do. If you have an idea or want to do something in particular, let us know.
