How much does it cost to attend?
The event is FREE.
Can we bring our own food?
Food will be provided, but you can also bring your own food and picnic baskets
Is alcohol allowed?
Rolling Oaks Park is located within the City of Miami Gardens. The City prohibits the consumption of alcohol on city property and in city parks.
How do I get my school, business, or organization involved?
HBCUs or HBCU alumni associations who are interested in participating in the picnic should click here for additional information and then email hbcu@joshjoneslaw.com or call .
If your alumni association is inactive, but you would like to secure space for your alumni, you can participate as well. HBCUs and/or alumni associations or groups should make payments by May 1, 2017, so that their school logo can be included in the final event flyer and tent space could be secured for their group.
Sponsors and vendors (businesses or organizations) who are interested in sponsoring the event or having space at the picnic should click here for additional information and then email info@theacademichustle.com or call 786-248-1103. In order to be included on the final event flyer, sponsors should make payments by May 1, 2017. Vendors should make payments by June 1st, 2017 to secure space at the event.
Is this a family friendly event?
Yes, bring the kids and the family! We will have music, games, and plenty of fun things to do. If you have an idea or want to do something in particular, let us know.
